I decided to treat meself to a new addition to me kit, I've purchased a rather cheap Denix percussion cap pistol:

overall it's fairly average, all the fixings are all screwed into the wood, which has been rather rushed in places by the looks of things, it's no work of art, but it does look the part and does the job, firing off the occasional percussion cap. Considering the price it's not all that bad
Definatly something for the buccaneer, who's short 'o shine..
